Car is still alive

I've got for tests "refurbished" tyres: Profil Pro Sport 2. 4x 225/40R18 costs something near 150 Eur and for now... they are pretty good. Will se in future, when i trash them a little bit.


I've did little maintenace:
Oil changed to Shell Helix Ultra 5w-40 + all filters

Also new rear shock absorbers + mounts:


Now there are waiting rear hand brake, brake discs to be replaced - waiting for better weather. All parts from TRW, so it should work.

To be done (not asap things): Radiator, front swingarms, VANOS seals, ECU maps update for PB and LPG (custom map - can be done in Poland



BTW is someone from forum living in Bratislava > Podunajskie Biskupice? When i was working on car (on street of course ), there was "friend meeting" with bmw's and 2 people just say "hi" to me (i'm not that kind of guy that greets everyone who is riding same car brand, so it was strange for me )

and how about the protector tyres? :-/ for that kind of money, wouldnt be better some kind of low end chinese brand?

About Tyres - acually i'm pretty happy for them. For normal driving they are great. Much better than "cheap chinesse". They are not that loud, car is driving ok in rain, having over 150km/h. When You trying to "race in town", they are not to grippy, but still - they are giving much information what is happening - that part was similar to used Michelin Sport Cup 2 that i had on previous season.

tl;dr - For Daily Driver they are ok. Price to performance is very good ("fresh" tyre for 30Euro per tyre - with shipping!)

hmmm thats quite interesting.. might be worth a try maybe I will try them on E34, they will be trashed anyway..

BC racing mounted. Not to low - as much as i wanted. I need to wait until suspension will settle up. I don't wanna go to low to not mess with Roll Center of car, and make it worse in handling. Also on Soft setup - it's pretty good for daily driven car. Much less rolling on corners.

the window sticker ruins the perfectly clean look of the car IMO.

Chromeline and rims ruins it more

and the bc racing are coilovers or static setup? because I dont see any difference of ride height you dont need to settle the suspension..
I think the chrome trim in black would be nice.. and the stickers look awesome in black too, not so "loud" as in white..

BC racing are coilovers :) No to much drop (1cm lower than OEM M-technik), because i don't wanna make handling worse. With too much drop, You are also dropping roll center of car causing it to much more roll on corners and that is bad. Stance is not fast If You want to have fast stance - full suspension rebuild is needed to adjust geometry and fix issues that lowering is creating. Too big topic to cover it here

And about styling - I'm going to make "full black" - shadowline, black rims looking like Volk TE37
