It's purpose is to create suction inside the crankcase for better ring-seal among other things. It is supposed to separate the oil via a venturi effect and rarely, if ever "wears out". More often than not - it is the o-ring at the base. BMW engines are in large-part, negative-pressure creatures. The engines run with an internal vacuum - even the oil pan. If there is the slightest leak - they don't run as well as they should.
The M50 and M50TU have the aforementioned valve in the same spot - on the cam cover.

Vpodstate nieco podobne som sa docital aj ja, len som este nezistil kde ten PCV ventil akoze ma byt. Z toho textu mi vypliva ze je to tym ze mi motor odniekial saje falosny vzduch, tym padom nieje v motore podtlak a tym padom to odtial saje?
Uz som z toho debil, chodim po forach citam, vsade niekto nieco ine piseuz som dopleteny.
No neviem kde je ten PCV ventil, "on the cam cover"? To je dekel motora, tam je pripojeny len ten konektor ktory je v tej scheme, nieje to ventil.

vymen c.4 a c.2 a popozeraj ci nemas popraskane hadice, ak nie tak by mala stacit vymena toho co som pisal.
