thats where you are wrong I think, at least from my experience stance is faster than stock for sure, BUT mainly on good roads :-D but you have also damping adjustment I believe, so you can go lower and set it up how you want. but if you were right, wouldnt be all the racing cars higher from the ground instead of lower? :-) the lower center of gravity the better..

full black and those wheels that will be very very nice ;-)

That's the thinking of stance people, who don't understand how suspension geometry works :) (don't be offend - i often hear "lowering is faster")

It will roughly explain You physics of suspension.
In big shortage: Lowering Your car is making bigger distance between roll centar and weight center - that's making bigger "lever" that wants to roll Your car in corner. So You want to make lless roll in corner, but instead of that only lowering car is making this force stronger, so it's ending up making handling worse.

also - this citroen isn't to low ;) (photo from compressed side under braking and corner load). And even for that - suspension is fully rebuild so it can work properly.

I know that DTM cars from 80's were lowered - but also suspension mounting pooints were changed to rearrrange geometry, so it could work wit this lowering :)

okay, I didnt mean low as slammed, as my ex E46 in the sig :-D but lower than stock, 2-3cm will be optimal. and also, do you drive your car on track? if not, there is no point going to these depths on suspension.. unfortunately I dont have the time to study it, and I dont need it anyway :-D but from my experience with driving low cars for quite some time I can tell you, that lower car is faster in corners, and its not only because of lower center of gravity, but also because of the elimination of car roll in corners..

btw the example is really not saying anything, because I can also bring up examples of cars which are lower :-D and I dont have to go far, from the website you posted, take a look

you dont have a dtm car, so you cant look and compare to them, mainly because of the things you said, the suspension is re-done.. track day car is very different from dtm racecar which is built for one purpose from scratch..
anyway, so these guys are doing it wrong? :-D

just sayin :-D you have good suspension, you should try it.. reading online doesnt help at all ;-) try to put it down 3-4cm allround, and you will see which setup you like better. thats why are the coilovers great

You know that counting from stock height - i have front lovered 5.5 cm from stock ;) Also i have my "secret" uphill & downhill road with nice asphalt - for 5 years i was fighting with time there with about 6 cars so i have comparasion and "i know what i'm doing" :D It's still Daily driven car, so i don't want big drop - i've driven lower e46 - without geometry mods it drives like shit ;) When i'll get to place where i can afford 2 cars - then i'll make more suspension mods so it can be lowered more ;)

also the examples -
1er - rearanged control arms and tie rods ends :) - My friend has 1er on Ohlins and full "track prep" that is regullary visiting Nurburgring (by the way: D2 Big brake kit is shit for track :D )
both e46 - look from side skirts how high they are ;) don't count front lip :P Bodykit makes it lowered - i know both projects :) 1st one from side: http://rainmakerbell.com/site/images/bm ... 23-056.jpg

you have it 5.5cm lowered? :-O that changes everything, but the issue is, that I cant see it on those pics you sent :-D would be nice if you could send proper photo :-)

and about those comments, you dont count side skirts or bumper at all.. the most important thing for measuring "lowness" is rimgap :-D and especially those E46s both have zero rimgap, which means tyre from fender meet when you look from side.. I think that is a good compromise for daily driver..
I have buddy from prague, who has M3 E46, and he is on nurburgring too, I dont know, like 2-3 times a month with it, and he has similar setup.. and not huge changes, bc racing suspension but the racing one with external reservoirs, some hr anti-roll bars, and that might be it.. and he looks like he is pretty happy with it :-D

My height is in beetwen ;) It would look nicer if i buy sparers or wider wheels - will see in next season 10mm on side should be nice.

I've seen BC ZR - with external reservoirs - i wish i could afford them with all other "track" mods :D

Now car is on winter setup - 16" Styling 42, and it's dirty as hell :D
If i'll wash car and find time to go on recently found spot for photos - i'll do them ;)

Soooo... no photos of car (sorry Fuxxo), but i've upgraded light to some photos aaaand... i've bought some parts: Waterpump, belt, pulleys, tensor, washer pump (after 1yr of not working :D). Also Nissens Radiator and some Dynagel coolant fluid ;)
